Terca, shortened for the Shenzhen Terca Technology Co.,Ltd, is the first one in China to R&D, manufacturing and sales the vehicle electromagnetic retarder. It is a private owned high tech enterprise, and is also well known for its innovation and prevision in research and development. “Focus on Safer and Easier Transportation”, TERCA Retarder contributes a great deal to the technology revolution in the auxiliary braking system of automobile.

Established on 25 October, 2000, situated in Shenzhen, Terca will have a base of 34,000 square meters for R&D and production, which will obtain the license from government authorities with production capacity of 50,000 complete retarders per year.

Since its establishment, Terca knows the importance of possession of intellectual property itself. Terca has taken out 22 patents in the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) of the P.R.C., and it has four patents for invention and five patents for utility model put on records in the SIPO. Owning to it’s hard work in technology innovation, Terca has been commended many times by Shenzhen government. In 2006, Terca has covered the glory of “The Shenzhen Famous Brand”, “The Top 100 of Shenzhen Innovative SME”.

Terca has been granted the quality system certificate of ISO9001：2000、ISO/TS16949:2002 and the EMC certificate of E-Mark. In addition, Terca joint into the work team which leaded by Chongqing Automobile Research Institute to formulate the industrial standard--“the technical role of vehicle electromagnetic retarder assembly”, and played an important role in the drafting and testing.

Terca has developed three series about 18 specifications and 40 varieties retarders, which can match the vehicles ranging from 8 to 12 meter well. By having achieved the authentication from those influential axle and gear box manufacturer, Terca has provided retarders in a great lot for those main bus manufacturer in China.

Since its establishment, Terca is developing rapidly with average annual increase of 26%. Now Terca holds the share of 40% in China, which ranks it the No. One in similar industry whether it’s from mainland or oversea.

Meanwhile, in past few years, Terca Retarder has been exported to different districts and countries around the world, such as Australia, Thailand, Korea, Philippine, Ghana , India, Pakistan, Malaysia, Russia, Viet Nam, Nepal, Taiwan, Hong Kong. To extend it’s market aboard, one joint venture has been set up in Australia, also many distribution channels have been set up in Thailand, Philippine and Russia. Terca always strives to look for the best product quality. To Terca, quality not merely means a simple technical guarantee, but also a systematic project that requires the efforts of all staff. Thereby Terca strictly meets the TS16949 by overall quality management of R&D, purchase, production and after-sale service.

Terca pays much attention to quality control of raw material purchasing and inspecting. Firstly, Terca periodically estimates the supplier’s product quality, price, capacity and its management so that it can meet the ISO9000.Secondly, according to quality criteria and inspecting method which have already been set up, Terca inspects raw material strictly. Moreover, for main raw material, testing experiment should be taken before they are put into production line.

To enforce the quality control in production line, four measures are taken in Terca. First, quality parameters of key working procedure are analyzed and controlled according to the ‘QC Drawing’ of product. Second, every QC program is clear to inspector with ‘QC Drawing’. And everyone is encouraged to advice on QC program to improve the QC management. Then, every worker is in charge of the equipment he uses, and he should strictly perform the program of checking, verifying, periodical measuring and maintenance of the equipment. The last, Terca strengths the professional training of work staff and pays much attention to new comer, which enhances the general quality of operators.

Every product should be tested according to QC program before it is delivered. Terca has a complete set of analyzing and testing apparatuses, which makes it possible to perform reliability experiment and quality analyzing of product. The entire testing and analyzing program is according with TS16949, so that the quality of product is guaranteed.

Terca also thinks much of after-sale service. We get customer’s fed back by periodical visiting, technology exchanging and satisfaction survey. According to customer’s reasonable advice, we would make continuous advance in our product and working process.
